Agnimitra Paul stated "Why are Mamata Banerjee and her govt so concerned about protecting those people who got jobs by giving bribes? Earlier the Court had directed SSC to differentiate between people who got jobs by giving bribes and by not giving bribes. Mamata Banerjee needs to take the whole responsibility. There is no point in going to the Supreme Court. This govt is totally non-cooperative. This is very clear, Mamata Banerjee's govt is with the criminals."

The Calcutta High Court on Monday cancelled the recruitment of around 23,000 teaching and non-teaching staff by the 2016 School Service Commission. Moreover, the HC ordered fresh recruitment in 15 days.
