BJP Candidate K Surendran Files Nomination From Wayanad

BY A STAFF REPORTER: BJP's Lok Sabha candidate K Surendran filed his nomination from the Wayanad Constituency with Smriti Irani by his side in Kerala on April 4, Thursday. 

Before filing the nominations, K Surendran held a road show with Smriti Irani where she came heavily on Wayanad Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi for shifting from Amethi. She accused Rahul Gandhi of betraying Congress' heartland Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, and trapping the people of Wayanad. 

Furthermore, incumbent MP from Wayanad Rahul Gandhi and CPI's Lok Sabha Candidate Annie Raja also filed their nominations from Wayanad on Wednesday. 

Rahul Gandhi has served as an MP from Wayanad since 2019. He was defeated by the current Union minister Smriti Irani in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh in the 2019 general elections. Rahul Gandhi served as an MP from Amethi since 2004.
