Bengal Provincial Hindu Mahasabha Extends Support To BJP Candidates

BY A STAFF REPORTER: The Bengal Provincial Hindu Mahasabha held a press conference at the Calcutta Press Club to announce their support for BJP-backed candidates in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in all 42 parliamentary constituencies. They believe that the BJP can only stand with traditional Hindus. According to officials of the Bengal Provincial Hindu Mahasabha, only the Modi government has fulfilled all the demands of the organization, such as the establishment of the Ram temple, the abrogation of Article 370, the strengthening of Indian defense, and obtaining a special place for India in the world.

They specifically sought heavy support from people for Dr. Anirban Gangopadhyay, a BJP-backed candidate from the Jadavpur Lok Sabha constituency. Dr. Anirban Gangopadhyay is the chairman of the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Research Foundation and the late Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the founder of the Bengal Provincial Hindu Mahasabha. Few people are nominating candidates against the BJP who falsely associate themselves with the Bengal Provincial Hindu Mahasabha, so this press conference was organized to make the general public aware, said the organization's secretary, Anant Singh Roy.

Along with this, the organization's editors, Ramnand Chattopadhyay, Monindra Chandra Nandi, NC Chattopadhyay, and linguist Suniti Kumar Chattopadhyay were also present. The president of the organization, Shambhunath Ganguly, announced the unanimous support of the organization for all BJP-backed candidates in West Bengal. Organization officials stated that members of the organization are present in all districts of West Bengal.

The president of the organization said that only the BJP supports Hindus and the Hindu Sabha is for traditional Hindus. At the same time, this Sabha stood for Hindus persecuted by Muslims in Bangladesh in 1971. Secretary of the Hindu Mahasabha, Anant Singh Roy, said that the Sabha extended a helping hand to the victims during the Corona pandemic. In response to journalists' questions, the editor said that the BJP will perform well in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections this year. They hope that the BJP will win 35 seats.
