The Centre's interim budget ahead of the Lok Sabha polls did not bring a smile on the faces of the middle class citizens. Because, no significant announcement was found. However, Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized on women's empowerment and women's power. She claimed that women's empowerment has gained momentum in the last ten years. The target of 'Lakhpati Didi' was increased from 1 crore to 3 crore. In this context, bengal's state budget will be presented on February 8.

In this budget of the Mamata government, there will be a fight between the "Lakhpati Didi" of the Center and the "Lakshmi Bhandar" of the state. Some people think that the allocation can increase a lot in one fell swoop. Since the government of 'ma-mati-manush' came to power, projects like 'Kanyashree', 'Rupshree', 'Lakshmir Bhandar' are going on in Bengal.
