Atishi Terms 'Swati Maliwal Assault Case' As A BJP Conspiracy

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Days after the incident, Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi on Friday asserted that the 'Swati Maliwal assaultgate' is a conspiracy hatched by the BJP against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Atishi claimed that BJP is rattled after Arvind Kejriwal's bail. She stated that the BJP consequently hatched a conspiracy against Kejriwal involving  Swati Maliwal. As per that, Swati Maliwal was allegedly sent to Delhi CM's residence on May 13. She further accused Swati Maliwal of imposing allegations on Bibhav Kumar as Kejriwal was absent. 

About the viral video clip from the alleged assault site, Atishi said "The video which has come out today shows her sitting comfortably in the drawing room (of the CM house) and threatening the police officials. She was also seen threatening Bibhav Kumar in the video. Neither her clothes were not torn nor any injury on her head can be seen in the video."

The short clip was shot in the living room of Arvind Kejriwal's residence. In the video, Swati Maliwal was reportedly seen warning CM Arvind Kejriwal's staff against calling the cops. Moreover, Delhi Police has taken cognizance of the video. However, they have yet to verify the authenticity of the clip.

Rajya Sabha MP and former Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women Swati Maliwal was brutally assaulted by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's PA Bibhav Kumar in his residence on May 13. The Delhi Police registered a case against Kumar in connection with the assault on Maliwal. The Delhi Police also recorded Swati Maliwal's statement under section 164 of CrPC today.
