Assam Congress President Rana Goswami Likely To Join BJP

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Assam BJP President Bhabesh Kalita on Thursday claimed that Assam Pradesh Congress President Rana Goswami is set to join BJP as he has resigned from Congress on 29th February, Thursday.

Rana Goswami is the working president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee who resigned from his post yesterday. Goswami has also been elected as an MLA representing Jorhat constituency. 

Furthermore, Bhabesh Kalita has confidently stated that Rana Goswami will join the BJP today. Kalita further stressed that BJP aims to secure more than 12 seats in Assam in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Many top leaders and MLAs of Congress and INDIA Alliance have resigned from their posts and joined the BJP ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. The list includes tall leaders such as Former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar.
