Arvind Kejriwal Must Not Resign: AAP MLAs To Sunita Kejriwal

AAP Leaders extended their support to Arvind Kejriwal and assured Sunita Kejriwal that two crore Delhiites stand with the Delhi CM. They asked Sunita Kejriwal to convey their message to Arvind Kejriwal and urge him to run the government from Tihar Jail.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A day after Arvind Kejriwal shifted to Tihar Jail, the top 55 AAP leaders on Tuesday met with Sunita Kejriwal and told her that Arvind Kejriwal must continue as the Delhi CM.

They further extended their support to Arvind Kejriwal and assured Sunita Kejriwal that two crore Delhiites stand with the Delhi CM. They asked Sunita Kejriwal to convey their message to Arvind Kejriwal and urge him to run the government from Tihar Jail. 

49 AAP MLAs and six Delhi Ministers including Saurabh Bharadwaj and Kailash Gahlot reached Arvind Kejriwal's residence and met with Sunita Kejriwal.

Moreover, Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal has been at the forefront of AAP's fight against BJP and government agencies after Arvind Kejriwal's arrest. 

Earlier today, Delhi Minister Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged that the BJP has offered them to join their party to save their political career. They also claimed that four more AAP leaders including herself will likely be arrested just before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. 

The authorities shifted Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to Tihar Jail and lodged him in jail number two following the orders of Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted Judicial custody of 15 days to Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquorgate on April 1, Monday. 

Moreover, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday extended Arvind Kejriwal's ED remand till April 1 in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. The ED demanded a seven-day extension of Kejriwal's custody due to his alleged evasive replies and non-cooperation in the investigation. However, the court extended the remand for four days.

Furthermore, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court Remanded Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal to ED Custody till March 28 in the Delhi Liquorgate case on March 22, Friday.   The decision came as ED demanded 10-day custody of Kejriwal and submitted 28 pages of evidence alleging his involvement in the Delhi Liquor Policy Scam. 

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi CM and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal from his residence in connection with the Delhi Liquorgate case. He was arrested following search operations and Interrogations conducted by the ED at his residence on Thursday evening.
