Arunachal Pradesh: PM Modi Unveils The Sela Tunnel In Itanagar

BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurated the Sela Tunnel while unveiling multiple developmental projects in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh on 9th March, Saturday.

PM Modi flagged off the Sela tunnel, which aims to provide all-weather connectivity to the Tawang region. Costing Rs. 825 crores, the project comprises two tunnels and a link road. Moreover, it is constructed at an altitude of 13,000 to 13,700 feet. The Sela Tunnels will facilitate and speed up the deployment of resources in the areas near the Line of Actual Control while reducing time travel to the Tawang region by one hour. 

Along with this, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of several projects aimed at fostering development in the state. Furthermore, PM Modi is currently on a visit to the Northeast. Earlier today, PM Modi visited the Kaziranga National Park in Assam and took an elephant safari.
