BY A STAFF REPORTER: In a significant move, A member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahali on Friday urged the Muslim Community not to panic about the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (Rules) 2024 and assured that their legal team is scrutinizing the Act. 

Mahali further affirmed that details will be explained to people after studying the latest notification on the CAA. He also stated that the Government has constantly assured will not revoke anyone's citizenship. Moreover, Khalid appealed to everyone to maintain peace. He maintained that Mosques should be used for offering prayers and not for protests.

The Ministry of Home Affairs announced the rules of the Citizenship Amendment Act (2019). Furthermore, the newly-implemented CAA will be called 'The Citizenship Amendment Act (Rules) 2024'. The Act aims to grant Indian Citizenship to the refugees and migrants belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Parsi, Buddhist, Jain, and Christian communities who arrived in India before 31st December 2014 and faced persecution in their homelands.
