Kolkata under water after rains

By A Staff Reporter: Kolkata was literally under water after an hour of smart shower.

People reported Waterlogging from several parts of the city.

According to locals, Par Circus, Elgin Road, AJC Bose Road and vast areas in central Kolkata are still under water at time of writing this report. 

The drainage system did not function normally because of low tide and high tide.

Normal movement of vehicles and daily routine of office goers were severely affected while many stranded for hours.

There were massive traffic congestion on roads which were water logged.

With Met office predicting more rains, Kolkatans are bracing up for more hardship in next few days.
