AAP Announces Nominees For MCD Elections In Delhi

The AAP has nominated Mahesh Khichi for the Mayor elections and Ravindra Bharadwaj for the Deputy Mayor elections. Both nominees are set to file their nominations today. Moreover, the Delhi Municipal Corporation Department Polls will be held on April 26.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of the Mayoral Polls, the Aam Aadmi Party announced its candidates for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor in Delhi on April 18, Thursday.

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Gopal Rai stated that the Mayor shall be elected from the reserved category. He further revealed that AAP's candidate for Mayor elections is Mahesh Khichi. Moreover, Khichi is a councilor from Dev Nagar Ward-84 of Karol Bagh. 

The AAP has nominated Ravindra Bharadwaj for the Deputy Mayor elections. He is a councillor from Aman Vihar Ward-41. 

Both nominees are set to file their nominations today. Moreover, the Delhi Municipal Corporation Department Polls will be held on April 26. 

The first phase of the much-awaited Lok Sabha elections is set to commence tomorrow. However, elections in the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be held during the sixth phase. The Election Commission of India announced the schedule on March 16.
