The IED was found while the 212 Battalion CRPF and District Force were carrying out a joint operation from the Potakpalli camp in the Kistaram police station area. The IED was planted with the intent of harming the soldiers and causing distraction.

IED Defused

BY A STAFF REPORTER: A 15kg Implosive Explosive Device planted by Naxalites was found near Chattisgarh's Potakpalli region on 9th Tuesday. 

The IED was found while the 212 Battalion CRPF and District Force were carrying out a joint operation from the Potakpalli camp in the Kistaram police station area. Further, the IED was planted with the intent of harming the soldiers and causing distraction. However, the soldiers of 212 Battalion CRPF and district forces recovered and successfully defused the IED during area domination. 

A video surfaced online showing a huge explosion on the countdown of a person. The explosion resulted in an ear-splitting sound and huge plumes billowing behind the trees.
