World's Largest 300-Foot-Lamp To Be Lit In Ayodhya Today

Ahead of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony, the world's tallest lamp which is 300-foot-tall will be lit in the Temple city Ayodhya at 5:00 PM on Friday.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Ahead of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony, the world's tallest lamp which is 300-foot-tall will be lit in the Temple city Ayodhya at 5:00 PM on Friday.

According to Jagadguru Paramhans Acharya, the lamp will use 1.25 quintals (125 Kgs) of cotton and 21,000 liters of oil to be lit. Along with this, soils from different parts of the country with cow's ghee will be used to light the massive lamp. The Acharya also revealed that 108 workers have prepared this lamp in a year. Moreover, the oil was exclusively brought from Goddess Sita's parental homeland.

The parisar pravesh ceremony (placement of Lord Ram on the sanctum sanctorum) concluded on Thursday, 18th January. Moreover, the Ram Temple consecration rituals began on January 16 Tuesday, and will continue for seven days. The final ritual will be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd January. Over 7,000 dignitaries will attend the grand Pran-Pratishtha ceremony on 22nd January in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
