Teerth Puja, Vaastu Shanti To Be Performed Today At Ram Mandir

On the fifth day of the Ram Temple consecration rituals process, the Teerth Puja, Vaastu Shanti Puja, and Annadhivas will be performed at the Ram Temple on Saturday in Ayodhya.

BY A STAFF REPORTER: On the fifth day of the Ram Temple consecration rituals process, the Teerth Puja, Vaastu Shanti Puja, and Annadhivas will be performed at the Ram Temple on Saturday in Ayodhya. 

The Teerth Puja will be performed to wash the Sanctum Sanctorum with the holy water from the Sarayu River. Thereafter, Vaastu Puja will be conducted to attain peace from all the physical elements including sky, earth, water, fire, and air. Following this, Annadhivas will be performed to offer food (anna) to the deities and invoke their blessings.

As of now, major rituals have been concluded including the parisar pravesh of Lord Ram and the unveiling of the idol. Moreover, the Ram Temple consecration rituals began on January 16 Tuesday, and will continue for seven days. The final ritual will be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd January. Over 7,000 dignitaries will attend the grand Pran-Pratishtha ceremony on 22nd January in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
