BY A STAFF REPORTER: On the 4th day of the Ram Temple consecration process, the Agni Sthapana and Navgraha Sthapana will be the two main rituals conducted on Friday as per the ritual schedule released by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The Agni Sthapana will be performed to establish a 'holy fire'. A yagya firepit will be prepared where the priest will ignite the sacred fire chanting vedic hymns and performing special methods. The Navgraha Sthapana will performed to establish the nine planets (Nav-grahas) which are believed to have a significant impact on human life.
The parisar pravesh ceremony (placement of Lord Ram on the sanctum sanctorum) concluded on Thursday, 18th January. Moreover, the Ram Temple consecration rituals began on January 16 Tuesday, and will continue for seven days. The final ritual will be performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd January. Over 7,000 dignitaries will attend the grand Pran-Pratishtha ceremony on 22nd January in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
