BY A STAFF REPORTER: Lalu Yadav on Wednesday joined the list of the political leaders who turned down the Ram Temple consecration ceremony invitation which is scheduled for 22nd January.

The former Chief Minister of Bihar and former minister of Indian Railways won't be participating in the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony. As of now, the reason remains unknown. Earlier, Sharad Pawar announced today that he will skip the Pran-Pratishtha ceremony on 22nd January as it is easier to seek the blessings of Ram Lalla after the ceremony concludes. Although the former Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee President Nirmal Khatri enthusiastically accepted the invitation to the consecration ceremony.

Last week, top Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary turned down the Pran-Pratishtha invitation and termed it as an 'RSS/BJP' event. The consecration procedures of the Ram Temple began on Tuesday, January 16, and will last seven days. Over 7,000 dignitaries are expected to attend the grand Pran-Pratishtha event on January 22nd in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
