The person who selflessly sacrifices every single drop of sweat of his body from the background of the famely practically every day for every person, today is the day to offer love to him. Many of us express our love for our mother effortlessly, but our love for our father remains silent. But today you can easily hug your father and say, "Dad I love you". Now let's come to the history of Father's Day. It is believed that this day was first celebrated in 1908 in a church in Fairmont, West Virginia, USA. That year, Father's Day was celebrated on July 5. However, Sonora Smart Dot has played a role in the history of Father's Day. After the death of Sonora's mother, her father, William Smart, gave Sonora the care of both parents. Her father raised 6 children single-handedly. Sonara later celebrated Father's Day on June 5, 1909 for his father's sacrifice. Sonora petitioned the Spokane Ministerial Alliance to observe June 5 as International Father's Day. In 1924, the then US President officially approved Father's Day with a notice. Then in 1966, the third Sunday of June every year was fixed as Father's Day.
