YS Sharmila Slams Modi Govt Over Pahalgam Attack, Says ‘Chowkidar Has Failed’

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led central government in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack. In an emotionally charged statement, Sharmila questioned the Centre’s priorities, alleging that the government has neglected national security while focusing on silencing critics.

“So, I am deeply pained, I am at a loss of words,” she said. “But the truth of the matter is that Mr Modi, as a chowkidar, has failed. His government, as a chowkidar, was supposed to protect Indian borders, but today that chowkidar government is using all its time in targeting voices that rise against the BJP.”
