DEHRADUN: Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Dehradun district administration on Wednesday airlifted ration supplies to several disaster-affected villages, including Phulet, Sarkhet Chhamrauli, Silla, Kyara and adjoining areas.
The relief operation was led by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kumkum Joshi, who oversaw the distribution of ration kits to ensure that essential food items reached families stranded due to disrupted road connectivity.
According to officials, road access to these villages had been completely cut off following the recent disaster, leaving nearly 60 families in distress. To address the crisis, the administration arranged 150 ration kits, each weighing between 15 and 20 kilograms. The kits contained essential items such as rice, flour, pulses, salt, sugar, and other basic necessities.
