Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strongly backed the Indian armed forces on Wednesday, calling their response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack “befitting” and asserting that Pakistan is now “groaning in front of the world.” His remarks come as India continues to grapple with the aftermath of its cross-border strikes under “Operation Sindoor” targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.

Speaking at a public event in Lucknow, the BJP leader said, “On 22nd April, Pakistani terrorists attacked Pahalgam. Our Armed Forces have given a befitting reply to Pakistan. We have to stand with our Armed Forces and raise their morale.”

Adityanath further warned against misinformation, stating, “All kinds of rumours will be spread on social media. We have to continue to work under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”

Calling for unity and national resolve, the Chief Minister added, “India is victorious in every situation and will be victorious in future too.” His speech was met with applause, reflecting a surge of nationalist sentiment and support for the military following the recent escalation.
