Leh, Ladakh: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju highlighted the significant shift in India's criminal justice system with the implementation of new laws. Speaking in Leh, Ladakh, Rijiju emphasized that the old laws, established by the British, were primarily focused on punishment.
"The old laws were made by the Britishers to give punishment. The new criminal laws are made to serve justice," Rijiju stated. He further explained that while the British intended to impose penalties and punishment, the new laws are designed to ensure justice is served.
