NEW DELHI – Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, speaking on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, highlighted the transformative impact of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's focus on inclusive development and growth. He stressed that India’s approach is garnering global interest for its emphasis on empowering those at the bottom of the pyramid.
“PM Modi has put a huge focus on inclusive development and growth, bringing a transformative change in the lives of the people at the bottom of the pyramid,” Vaishnaw stated. “This is something the world wants to understand.”
Vaishnaw noted the particular interest in India’s economic policies, especially the digital transformation and democratization of technology spearheaded by the Digital India program. He emphasized that these initiatives have made cutting-edge technology accessible to all citizens, creating a model for other nations.
“There is a lot of interest at the World Economic Forum in understanding our thought process, PM's economic policies about digital transformation, and the way technology has been democratized by our PM's Digital India program,” he said.
Vaishnaw outlined the key themes of India’s participation in the forum, including discussions on inclusive growth, investment in social, physical, and digital infrastructure, and further democratizing technology to bridge economic divides.
