Delhi: Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his satisfaction with the progress of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and their role in connecting farmers directly with consumers. During his visit, Chouhan highlighted the achievements and ongoing efforts under PM Modi's initiative.

"I felt happy coming here. The products that are made by FPO are directly made, processed, and reach the customers," Chouhan stated. He mentioned that the target was to form 10,000 FPOs, and around 8,800 have been set up so far.

Chouhan emphasized the dual goals of the initiative: "These products must be pocket-friendly for customers, but at the same time, farmers can produce and process them, ensuring they get a good revenue out of it."
