Two Drug Peddlers arrested by police in Poonch

Manjit Singh, Poonch : Drug dealing in the valley is increasing!This is the question raised by the Poonch incident.Police arrested two drug dealers.6 kg of heroin is seized from them.According to police sources, a team led by Poonch SHO Inspr Ranjit Singh Rao was carrying out a search in Nangali Sahib area.At that time they saw two persons sitting under a Chinar tree near Drungli Bridge.They ran away on seeing the police.And then they were caught.The arrested are Mohammad Mashuk, son of Mohammad Yusuf, resident of Pothi Nurkot, and Mohammad Maruf, son of Wali Mohammad, resident of Nurkot.During the search, a red colored bag belonging to Mohammad Mashuk was found.Two packets of heroin weighing about 2 kg were recovered from that bag out of 6 kg.The two arrested persons were sitting under the tree for drug trafficking.A complaint has been filed under the Narcotics Act at Poonche police station.Mohammad Mashuk was interrogated and three more packets of drugs were found.Those three packets of drugs were recovered in the presence of an administrative officer in the house of Degwar Maldialan of Panchayat number 1. A packet of which was  hidden in the bush.
