Top Security Officials Hold High-Level Review Meeting for Amarnath Yatra 2025 in Srinagar

Srinagar, J&K, June 17 — With the annual Amarnath Yatra 2025 approaching, top security officials from multiple agencies convened in Srinagar today for a high-level review meeting to assess and finalise security arrangements.

The meeting, held at the Jammu and Kashmir Police headquarters, was chaired by Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan and witnessed the participation of senior officers from the J&K Police, Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), and other intelligence and civil agencies.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to evaluate existing security protocols, address logistical challenges, and ensure coordination among agencies during the yatra period. Special focus was placed on counter-terrorism measures, deployment of additional forces, surveillance infrastructure, and emergency response strategies for the smooth and safe conduct of the pilgrimage.
