Taking it to his X handle, PM Modi requoted a post regarding the letter to the CJI and asserted that Congress' vintage culture is to browbeat and bully others. He further added "5 decades ago itself they had called for a "committed judiciary" - they shamelessly want commitment from others for their selfish interests but desist from any commitment towards the nation. No wonder 140 crore Indians are rejecting them."

Earlier today, a group of prominent lawyers namely Harish Salve, Manan Kumar Mishra, Adish Aggarwala, Chetan Mittal, Pinky Anand, Hitesh Jain, Ujjwala Pawar, Uday Holla, Swaroopama Chaturvedi wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud expressing deep concerns over alleged political and professional pressure on Judiciary.
