Ranchi, Jharkhand – Three CRPF jawans were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast during a search operation in the Saranda forests of Chaibasa on Wednesday. The injured personnel were airlifted to a hospital in Ranchi for urgent medical treatment.

The blast occurred at Baliwa, under the jurisdiction of Manoharpur police station, when members of the 197 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were conducting an anti-Naxal operation in the region. According to sources, the IED exploded while the personnel were advancing through the dense forest, injuring three jawans.

Following the incident, senior officials of the CRPF and Jharkhand Police rushed to the site, and the injured personnel were evacuated via helicopter to Ranchi for advanced medical care.
