By A Staff Reporter: The BSF is stepping up their guard along the border. The border guard agency has taken a strong stance against smuggling and infiltration. The additional director general of BSF Ravi Gandhi undertook a series of inspections in North East and reached Swarupnagar and other border areas in North 24 Parganas in West Bengal. 

Gandhi took stock of the situation and ordered his troops to be on high alert and forcefully foil any infiltration and smuggling attempts by the smugglers.

Sources told ANM News that BSF has been instructed to return fire if they are attacked by smugglers. Insiders told ANM News that BSF are monitoring the zero line round the clock and are determined to finish work along unfenced areas.

BSF sources mentioned that they have sent letter to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) informing their intention of finishing work in intended areas, driving home arguments with evidences and facts.
