New Delhi: TDP leader Rajendra Kumar Solanki has demanded an apology from Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over an alleged incident in Parliament, where Gandhi reportedly pushed BJP MP Pratap Sarangi, causing him to fall.
“Yesterday in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi pushed an elderly person, Sarangi ji, causing him to fall,” Solanki said, addressing reporters. “Doesn’t he even have the basic etiquette to behave respectfully with elders? Politics is one thing, but pushing and causing harm to an elder is unacceptable.”
Expressing his disapproval, Solanki added, “He should apologise, as this was very wrong.”
The alleged incident occurred during a heated exchange in Parliament, where tensions between the ruling and opposition parties have been high. BJP MPs have also raised the issue, accusing Gandhi of misconduct and demanding action.
The Congress party has yet to officially respond to the accusations. Meanwhile, the incident has added fuel to an already contentious political atmosphere, with leaders across party lines weighing in on the matter.
As debates in Parliament continue to escalate, calls for decorum and respectful conduct have grown louder, with many emphasizing the need for dialogue and constructive discussion in the nation’s highest legislative body.
