BY A STAFF REPORTER: Chennai and neighboring districts of Tamil Nadu have been heavily affected by cyclone and then the rains of the last two days. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin tweeted in this regard. There he wrote,'Following the unprecedented rains caused by CycloneMichaung, which affected Chennai and its neighbouring districts earlier this month, the southern districts of Tamil Nadu have now experienced historically high rain over the past few days. This has severely impacted the livelihoods of many and caused extensive damage to infrastructure.At this crucial juncture, I have come to New Delhi, to meet our Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and request adequate assistance from the Union Government to restore normalcy.'
