Nationalist Congress Party–Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SCP) MP Supriya Sule has called for urgent medical assistance for five residents of Pune who were injured in the recent firing incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Taking to social media, Sule made a direct appeal to former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, requesting swift intervention and medical support for the affected individuals.
“Requesting Omar Abdullah for providing immediate medical aid and support to the following people hailing from Pune who have suffered injuries in the Pahalgham firing incident today,” Sule tweeted, naming the injured as Asawari Jagdale, Pragati Jagdale, Santosh Jagdale—who reportedly sustained a gunshot wound—Kaustubh Ganbote (also with a gunshot wound), and Sangeeta Gabote.
She also conveyed the family’s plea for updates on their medical condition, thanking Abdullah for what she described as his "efficient and quick administration."
The firing incident, which is being described as a terrorist attack on civilians, has prompted widespread concern and condemnation across the political spectrum. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation while ensuring that medical treatment and security measures are promptly administered.
