The actor shared a video message online in which he expressed concern over the livelihood of the family members of the victims or those who were injured. Sood urged the government to implement a policy that will provide fixed monthly income to the victims of train accidents.

On the train accident in Odisha, Sonu Sood said, "Expressing regret on social media will not do anything. He urged political parties not to play the blame game.
