New Delhi: Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Thursday criticized the Narendra Modi government’s stance on the Palestine issue, asserting that India needs to take a proactive leadership role. She described the government’s response as marked by “profound silence” and characterized it as an abdication of both humanity and morality.
“India must demonstrate leadership on the issue of Palestine. The government’s response so far has been inadequate and reflects a lack of moral responsibility,” Gandhi said in a statement. She urged the government to articulate a clear and principled position in support of international norms and human rights.
