Six workers die after portion of building collapses

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Six construction workers involved in the construction of a house in Lovedale near Ooty in Tamil Nadu died on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Shakila (30), Sangeeta (35), Bhagya (36), Uma (35), Muthulakshmi (36) and Radha (38). 

"Two seriously injured labourers were rushed to Ooty General Hospital but one labourer is still stuck under the debris," Ooty police said. Rescue operations are underway. "
