New Delhi: BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing them of humiliating Pappu Yadav, an independent MP and prominent leader in Bihar, during a recent opposition rally. He also pointed to the exclusion of Kanhaiya Kumar, implying internal elitism within the alliance.
“While the so-called 'Pappu' drowned the Congress, Tejashwi Yadav and Congress made another Pappu cry yesterday,” said Poonawalla. “Pappu Yadav is a respected leader in Bihar and an MP. Afterwards, he emotionally expressed in an interview that he would swallow this insult. Bihar's two nawabs disrespected Pappu Yadav.”
He further criticized the organizers for not allowing Kanhaiya Kumar on the campaign truck, saying it reflected a culture of dynastic entitlement. “Not letting Kanhaiya Kumar on the truck either shows that only 'Parivarwaadi Nawabs' were allowed,” he added, referring to the dominance of political families in the leadership structure of both parties.
