New Delhi, Aug 11 — Security has been stepped up in the national capital on Monday, with barricades placed outside Transport Bhawan, as leaders of the INDIA bloc prepare to march from Parliament to the Election Commission of India (ECI) office.

The Opposition alliance is staging the protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar, as well as over allegations of voter fraud during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The leaders are expected to submit a memorandum to the ECI highlighting their concerns.

Authorities have deployed additional police personnel in the area to manage crowds and maintain order during the march. Traffic restrictions are also anticipated in certain stretches between Parliament and the ECI headquarters to ensure security.
