The state suffered a major setback in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has dismissed the state's SLP. The state's top court on Tuesday dismissed the state's leave petition. The Supreme Court upheld the Calcutta High Court verdict. SC ordered, Panchayat vote in West Bengal will be held under the supervision of central forces. The Supreme Court today said that central forces will be deployed in every corner of Bengal for the panchayat polls.
