Delay in Shahjahan's arrest! Supreme Court questions WB Govt.

By A STAFF REPORTER: Tension is still high in the state over the Sandeshkhali incident. The main accused in the Sandeshkhali case, Sheikh Shahjahan, has been arrested. The CBI investigation is underway. The hearing on the West Bengal government's plea against the Calcutta High Court's order ordering a CBI probe into the attack on ED officials has begun.

The World Bank lawyer approached the court with the matter. The Supreme Court asked the West Bengal government why he (Sheikh) was not arrested for so long.
