Delhi: Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has raised strong concerns over the safety of schools in the capital after several institutions received bomb threats in recent weeks. Bharadwaj, speaking at a press conference, targeted the BJP-led central government for its failure to address the growing security issues in Delhi.

"On one side, the central government of BJP says that they have become the 'Vishwaguru' (world leader)," Bharadwaj said, referring to the government's claims of global leadership. "On the other side, the schools in Delhi are repeatedly getting bomb threats. Is the government, which is responsible for Delhi's safety, useless?" he questioned, criticizing the government's inaction in ensuring the security of students and educational institutions.

His remarks come in the wake of alarming bomb threats received by multiple schools in the city, forcing authorities to conduct emergency evacuations and heightening public anxiety. While investigations have been initiated, the frequency of such threats has raised serious concerns about the effectiveness of the security measures in place.

Bharadwaj, who is a key member of the Delhi government, called for immediate action to address the situation and ensure the safety of children and school staff. He also pointed out the disconnect between the central government's rhetoric of global leadership and its inability to manage basic security challenges within the country’s capital.

The Minister’s comments reflect mounting frustration with the perceived lack of accountability and competence at the federal level in handling security concerns, particularly in a city as populous and important as Delhi.
