MUMBAI – New developments have emerged in the case involving an alleged attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. According to DCP Zone 9 Dixit Gedam, preliminary investigations suggest that the accused is a Bangladeshi national who entered the country illegally.

“There is primary evidence to anticipate that the accused is a Bangladeshi. He does not have valid Indian documents,” DCP Gedam stated while addressing the media.

The officer further disclosed that certain items recovered during the investigation point towards the accused’s Bangladeshi origins. “There are some seizures that indicate that he is a Bangladeshi national,” he added.

Regarding the circumstances of the incident, DCP Gedam noted, “As of now, we think that the accused has entered the residence (of Saif Ali Khan) for the first time.” The nature of the accused's intentions and how he gained access to the premises are currently under scrutiny.

The case has sparked concern over security measures at high-profile residences in Mumbai. Police are actively investigating the accused’s background and potential connections.
