RBI stops issuance of a currency

Reserve Bank of India has taken a decision that has created tension among public as to if 2000 rs currency is going to be invalid from now or not.

By a staff reporter: Reserve Bank of India has given an order to to stop issuing Rs 2000 denomination banknotes with immediate effect though banknotes in Rs 2000 denomination. But its is no worry for general mass as it will continue to be legal tender as much as the stock is there in the present market. RBI has broght the circular into light. The notes will be valid till 30th September.
