New Delhi: Highlighting escalating religious tensions in Bangladesh, Vishva Hindu Parishad has called for urgent global attention to protect Hindus and other vulnerable communities.

Speaking on the issue, Kumar said, "Issues which were raised based on conspiracies have led to the destruction of Hindu temples and atrocities committed against them. What we hear now is that Bangladesh's police, army, and jihadis are reportedly aiding rioters."

He emphasized that this crisis transcends borders, asserting, "It's not just a challenge for India and Hindus but for the global civil society. It concerns all who value freedom of religion and law and order."

Kumar appealed to international organizations like the United Nations, stating, "This is a challenge to the UNO and such bodies to respond. Religious radicalism and jihad have become global threats. Winning this war requires combating not just the actions but the ideology and mentality fueling these atrocities."

He underscored the need for a unified global approach, warning that without addressing these ideological challenges, peace would remain elusive—not just in Bangladesh but worldwide.

The remarks come amid reports of escalating attacks on minority Hindu communities in Bangladesh, with concerns over alleged state complicity. Kumar's call for action reflects the growing demand for international intervention and sustainable solutions to safeguard religious freedom and minority rights globally.

This development has sparked discussions among rights groups and policymakers about the role of international agencies in addressing religious intolerance and radicalism.
