Red alert issued for Andhra coast

BY A STAFF REPORTER: Low pressure will develop into a deep depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal on Saturday. It has a strong chance of becoming a cyclonic storm and hitting Andhra and Tamil Nadu coasts on Monday. In which, India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy chances in Andhra Pradesh on December 4 and 5. A red alert has been issued. Coastal residents of Andhra have been advised to be alert. Coastal residents have also been told to take shelter in relatively safe areas.
