New Delhi – Union Minister and BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu has hit out at Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over his recent remarks regarding flights carrying illegal Indian immigrants from the US to Amritsar. Bittu accused Mann of making unfounded statements and attempting to deflect attention from political setbacks.
“He (Bhagwant Mann) says anything. His boss (Arvind Kejriwal) said that Haryana will mix poison in the Yamuna River—they can go to that extent,” Bittu remarked, referencing previous controversial statements made by AAP leaders.
Defending the BJP-led central government, Bittu asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are committed to the welfare of Sikhs. He also claimed that the AAP government in Punjab is shaken after its recent electoral loss in Delhi and is resorting to baseless accusations against the BJP.
“He is just trying to make Arvind Kejriwal happy by targeting PM Modi and the BJP government,” Bittu added.
