Ahead of the Ram temple consecration ceremony, opposition leaders and officials including Samajwadi Chief, Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader V.M. Sudheeran have presented their views on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple consecration ceremony which will be held on 22nd January in Ayodhya.
Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party Chief, said that this is Lord Ram's ceremony and no one, including the CM, holds a higher position than god itself. Those summoned by lord Ram must attend the ceremony.

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said "It is for the people to get inspiration. The governor has its protocol. Definitely, I will be going that day or the day after. that will be decided by the President of India."

Congress Leader V.M. Sudheeran expressed his opposition by claiming that attending the Ram Temple consecration would be suicidal for Congress members. Moreover, he lashed out at the party leadership for their indecisive stand on attending the consecration
