New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday underlined the importance of jointness among India’s armed forces, calling it vital for strengthening national security and enhancing operational effectiveness. He was speaking at the National Seminar on ‘Fostering Greater Jointness: Synergy Through Learning’ held in the capital.
“Jointness among defence forces is essential for national security and operational effectiveness,” Singh said, adding that the government’s objective is to ensure greater integration among the Army, Navy, and Air Force. “Our government's motive is to promote jointness and integration among all three Armed forces,” he emphasized.
The seminar, attended by senior military officials, defence experts, and policymakers, focused on ways to enhance interoperability and coordination across the services. Discussions included the role of joint training, resource sharing, and integrated planning in strengthening India’s defence capabilities.
