Rajnath Singh Praises Indian Forces, Compares Operation Sindoor to Surgical Precision of Doctors

New Delhi – In a powerful address, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday praised the Indian Armed Forces for their decisive and strategic strikes during Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. The operation, which targeted multiple terrorist hideouts deep within Pakistan, has been hailed as a major success in India's counter-terrorism efforts.

Drawing a vivid parallel between the military and the medical profession, Singh said, “Just like a skilled surgeon uses instruments to eliminate disease from its root, the Indian forces have used their weapons with surgical precision to strike at the roots of terrorism.”

He noted that while Pakistan has a history of refusing to back down, even resorting to attacks on Indian soil and places of worship—including temples, gurdwaras, and churches—India’s response has been measured and targeted. Singh emphasized that Indian forces ensured no harm came to Pakistan’s civilian population, staying focused solely on eliminating terror networks.

“The action taken by our forces has brought the Pakistani army to its knees,” he declared, commending the military’s discipline, training, and strategic restraint.

In a broader reflection, Singh also honored India’s medical professionals, drawing a connection between the duties of doctors and soldiers. “Both protect common citizens—one saves lives, the other defends the nation. Both require discipline, training, and the ability to take life-altering decisions in high-pressure situations,” he said.
