Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday visited the Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar, where he interacted with Indian Army personnel and commended their courage and dedication. During his address, Singh emphasized India's firm stance on terrorism and reiterated that any attack on Indian soil would now be treated as an act of war.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Singh stated that the country’s approach to terrorism had been redefined under his guidance. “Terrorism and talks cannot go together,” he declared, adding that any future dialogue with Pakistan would be held solely on the issues of terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Referring to the recently executed Operation Sindoor, Singh highlighted it as a symbol of India’s proactive defence posture. “Operation Sindoor was not just a military operation but a bold expression of India’s resolve to defend itself and make decisive moves when necessary,” he said.
