Rajnath Singh Inaugurates MP Sports Mahakumbh in Lucknow, Hails It as a Path to Societal Development

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the MP Sports Mahakumbh in Lucknow, an event aimed at promoting sports and athletic talent across India. Singh expressed his admiration for the initiative, which has been inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to foster sports at the grassroots level.

“Today, the inauguration of the MP Sports Mahakumbh took place in Lucknow. Inspired by Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi, several MPs across India have organized sports competitions in their respective constituencies, paving a new path for societal development. Today, Lucknow’s name has also joined that chain,” Rajnath Singh said during the inauguration ceremony.

Singh went on to emphasize Lucknow’s growing recognition not just within Uttar Pradesh but also nationally and internationally for its sporting culture. He highlighted the long-term benefits of the Mahakumbh, stating that it would result in young athletes from the city winning medals at both national and international levels in the coming years.

“The Sports Mahakumbh being organized here today will yield clear results in the coming years when young athletes from Lucknow win medals in large numbers at national and international levels. I extend my best wishes to all the participants,” he added.
