Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday lauded the extraordinary achievement of NCC cadets who recently conquered Mount Everest, calling their feat a reflection of discipline, courage, and national pride. Interacting with the young mountaineers in Delhi, Singh extended heartfelt congratulations and praised the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for its vision in encouraging such a daring expedition.
“I feel proud to be among the cadets who scaled the heights of Mount Everest. I congratulate the cadets and their families,” Singh said, addressing the gathering. He emphasized the magnitude of the accomplishment, noting that such an expedition was not just a physical challenge but a true test of patience, mental endurance, and resolve.
Commending the NCC for its bold decision to send cadets on the summit mission, Singh stated, “This was also a test of your discipline and patience. I am confident that you will face all challenges in life with courage and win against them.”
He further highlighted the transformative impact of the NCC on young citizens, saying, “NCC has successfully inculcated a sense of national pride in its cadets.”
